Application procedure
We are sorry, the application deadline has passed. Since we already have 300+ applications for less than 100 spots, we cannot accept late applications.
The summer school will accept students, academics and IT professionals. Experience in recent years has shown far more people apply than can be accepted. Thus, students and academics will be offered a place based on academic record. Attendees from industry should register directly via email.
Students and academics should fill in the form linked at the bottom of the page: this requires a short statement describing how you would benefit from the summer school and a CV with grades or publications where applicable. The application deadline is 1st April 2007. Notification of acceptance will be mailed out on April 30, at which point attendees will be asked to pay the registration fee through this website until the 15th June 2007.
Fees
The registration fees cover the lectures, practical courses, and handouts; as well as lunch and dinner on weekdays. A special dinner will also be provided on Sunday, 26.8.07.

Accommodation
We have arranged a block booking at the youth hostel in Tübingen. Those with registrations for the summer school will be able to choose this option on our website. Alternative accommodation should be arranged privately. A good starting point is TübingenInfo.de.
The youth hostel is the cheapest place to stay in Tübingen during the summer school, and we would expect most students to choose this option. Rooms are mostly shared by four guests. Prices including breakfast are

Scholarships
PhD, master and undergraduate students are eligible for scholarships that cover registration, accommodation and/or travel costs. because we only have limited funds available we will select scholars based on academic merit and financial need. During the application procedure you will be asked whether you want to apply for a scholarship and, if so, why you are especially in need for it.
